Collaborations with Tim Tyler

3/5/19
I met Tim in 1984 or 1985 at the Kubert school. We were roommates and I'm glad the fates brought us together. He has a terrific imagination and he introduced me a lot of different genres I had never really delved into beyond super-heroes. We both came from the Mid-West (although I was transplanted to Texas by that time). I'm proud to still call him friend and we still work together on the rare occasion I am able.

In 2004 Tim came and stayed fer a bit down here in Houston. He'd help me out now and then at the comics shop. The above penciled images are some collaborations we did for eBay (I think) to make some extra money. Most of the time I would ink Tim's pencils or I would do a quick layout, Tim would pencil then I would ink. The above 4 images are most likely my layouts with Tim's pencils. I don't know if they were ever inked ( by Tim or myself) as these are the only scans I found.

We did quite a few more "risque" pieces as they seemed to sell better and make more.
One of the rare pieces that I penciled (this looks like in homage to the first appearance of Hellcat) and Tim did the inking.

The above 3 were penciled by Tim (though I m not sure why he didn't sign the She-Hulk, perhaps I scanned it before he signed it) and inked by me. I found his work tricky to ink as I was more geared towards traditional Super-Hero comic inking and his work was more influenced by other comic genres.
Another piece I penciled and Tim inked.

The She Hulk and Hellcat pieces above were penciled and colored by Tim; my inks.
This really doesn't look like a pose I would use, perhaps Tim laid it out, I penciled it, and he inked and colored it.
