Art Created for my Comic Shop

Long story short, I purchased the comic shop I had frequented since I was about 16, in 2001. I sold it in 2007 to finish nursing school. Here is some art I created while I owned the shop.

Here's the Logo. In my other postings I left the images full size, I don't see any need for that here, so I'm just making 'em fit the space.

The same Logo, but with the WWW. and .COM added.

A Web Logo

Another web logo utilizing art adopted from web images.

An ad I compiled for Pizza Box toppers. Not one single person came in and used one of these coupons, not even my regular customers.

A flyer I created advertising the shop and my comic art classes. I had a pretty good crowd at the original 1800 sq ft location, but once I moved to a smaller 900 sq ft, due to escalating rent and lackluster sales, I no longer had room for teaching. The character here was not created specifically for this ad, but I guess I though it was cool enough.

A Coupon I created trying to utilize the popularity of the Ultimate line. Artwork by Andy Kubert
Another ad I compiled. I created this Spider-Man based upon the classic John Romita pose. I see a lot of imperfections in hindsight.
And one final set of black and white coupons for various uses. Artwork compiled from various artists on the web.

A flyer I created advertising a store appearance by main influence, Josef Rubinstein. Compiled from his art. This was held on a Wednesday which is when new comics typically ship. I had hoped for a rather large crowd, but unfortunately there were actually fewer than a normal "new comic" day.
